  • ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Ensure all information, supplies, equipment, and materials are available for work to proceed unimpeded.
    • Responsible for the procurement of all materials, supplies, and equipment for the food facility.
    • Responsible for scheduling, planning, and organizing all production based on customer orders and demand.
    • Monitors production to assure adherence to food quality standards, production requirements, and schedules personnel accordingly.
    • Provides direct supervision and coordinates the efforts of the team members to ensure timely production.
    • Provides individualized training for all operations within the production line.
    • Works with management and human resources to increase blind employment through job modification and assistive technology.
    • Responsible for documenting performance issues daily.
    • Works with the quality team to ensure safe products and production.
    • Processes payroll data on each employee working in the facility.
    • Maintains and controls all inventory including routine cycle counts.
    • Records all daily production in central ERP system.
    • Maintains an active role on the food safety team and ensures that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed and documented.
    • Fosters growth and identifies opportunities for advancement for all employees.
    • Provides staff with information related to upcoming training opportunities and all other company-related information.
    • Will observe and adhere to the Standards of Performance requirements addressed in the Employee Handbook at all times.
    • Maintains open communication with immediate supervisor, senior management, vendors, co-workers, and staff.
    • Utilizes and models VisionCorps values in the execution of daily work activities and decision making.
    • Supports and upholds the vision of mission of VisionCorps.

    Other Job Functions:

    • Participate in monthly Department meetings
    • Participate in Company events
    • Keep up to date on all training
    • Any other duties or special projects assigned by the Vice President of Manufacturing

    Education and Work Experience:

    • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
    • At least 5 years of production-related experience preferred.
    • Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
    • Electric forklift experience preferred.
    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
    • Must possess basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Must possess solid communication skills.

    Working Conditions:

    • Primarily works in a temperature-controlled production area.
    • Travels to other locations as needed.
    • Must be able to sit at desk for periods of time.
    • Must be able to work in the production area.

    Physical Demands

    • Must be able to carry, lift, and push equipment up to 50lbs.
    • Must be able to spend a considerable amount of time stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
    • Fine motor skills – use hands to finger, handle or feel.
    • Visual acuity – close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Must be able to travel safely and independently.
    • Must be able to verbally communicate and hear.
