Production Planning Manager

Full-Time, Monday - Friday

  • VisionCorps, a value driven organization, is currently searching for a Production Planning Manager that will be based in our Lancaster facility.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage production workflow for all production facilities
    • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
    • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
    • Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations
    • Schedule shift according to production needs
    • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
    • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
    • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
    • Prepare and submit status and performance reports
    • Manage and develop production staff through 1v1’s, performance reviews and training
    • Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
    • Assist R&D in new product development and enhancements
    • Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to COO promptly
    • Participate in monthly Department meetings
    • Participate in Company events
    • Keep up to date on all training
    • Other duties as assigned

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Production Planning or related field
    • 2-5 years’ experience in production planning and quality control principles
    • 2-5 years’ experience in inventory control
    • 2-5 years’ experience in MRP systems (Manufacturing resource planning)

    Working Conditions:

    • Must be able to sit at desk for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to work in the production area
    • Travel to multiple facilities on a regular basis

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to carry, lift and push equipment/materials up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to spend considerable time stooping, kneeling, and crouching
    • Use hands to repetitively operate, finger, handle or feel computers and office equipment
    • Must be able to travel independently and safely
    • Ability to verbally communicate with others
