Position Summary:
As a Manager of Contract Management at VisionCorps, you will be responsible for directing the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of assigned government/commercial/international contracts and subcontracts. Directs all phases of the contract administration process from inception through completion including preparing, reviewing, and approving all contractual documents to ensure protection of the company’s contractual posture, satisfaction of contract specifications and requirements, identification of risk factors, and in accordance with strategic plans, as well as appropriate laws and regulations. Typically accomplishes objectives through subordinate management and/or professional staff. May be responsible for decisions that have serious impact on overall success of the corporation.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not required. MBA desirable
- Â Minimum three (3) years of business development, experience along with project management, business planning, contracting & financial analysis
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) + years’ experience in commercial and government contracting
- Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated successful supervisory experience
- Experience working with Federal, State, and Commercial contracts
- Excellent communication, technical, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to identify and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and manage their expectations
- Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation is preferred
- Strong knowledge of the AbilityOne program is preferred
- Experience working with commercial, state, federal civilian, and military agencies
- Possess valid driver’s license
- Strong written and oral communication skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project), Cloud products, Business Central, etc.
- High Proficiency of contract writing systems such as Procurement Desktop Defense, Con-IT, PRISM, COMPRIZON
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Contract Administration:- Direct the administration of assigned contracts including negotiating, preparing, reviewing, approving, and terminating contractual documents to ensure protection of company’s contractual posture
- Direct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications
- Identify high level legal or contractual issues, lead the development of solutions and provide guidance to management on resolving highly complex issues while ensuring the contract administration process supports the objectives of the program areas
- Advise management of contractual rights, issues, and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions
- Coordinate review of solicitations and assist in drafting proposals to ensure customer objectives are satisfied and company interests are protected
- Act as primary contact for contracts activities and issues. Represent the company with senior level customers, potential customers and government representatives
- Actively Lead and Manage a growing Contracts organization across multiple sites
Company Compliance:
- Ensure the company’s proprietary interests are protected and that company policy is followed for processes such as, but not limited to, the review chain for reports, papers and articles
- Direct the review of agreements and evaluate documentation and authorization forms to identify problematic provisions and determine if the minimum requirements are met
- May assist in reviewing agreements for consistency with laws, government regulations, economic conditions, and company policies
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work a minimum of full-time hours; overtime required based on Professional Services Division department schedules
- Hand/eye coordination is necessary to operate computers, and various pieces of office equipment
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle and/or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to sit for extended periods of time
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds
Work Environment
- Work in an office environment and remote
- Travel up to 10% of the time, which may include public-facing forums and company-sponsored events
