Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

Full- Time, Monday - Friday

  • Financial Responsibilities:

    ·        Partner with CEO on key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, assessing organizational performance against budget and long-term strategy

    ·        Oversee completion of financial reports, analyze financial results, communicate performance with key staff and develop operational recommendations. Oversee month end closing activities.

    ·        Engage Board and Finance Committee in the operational model.

    ·        Develop and report financial plans and projections.

    ·        Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.

    ·        Remain    current    on    nonprofit    reporting    and    practices and ensure appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.

    ·        Coordinate annual audit, retirement plan audit, and related tax filings

    ·        Oversee finance strategies, cash flow planning and management, financing, investments, and asset management.

    ·        Approve and review weekly payables, Active Pay distributions and execute check signing.

    ·        Develop predictive models and activity based financial analyses to provide insight into operations and business decisions.

    ·        Develop analysis of business initiatives such as new business opportunities, mergers, and asset acquisitions.

    ·        Manage the insurance policies and annual renewals

    ·        Implement financial and accounting systems to improve efficiencies.

    ·        Retirement plan administration

    ·        Participate as a member of the Senior Management Team

    ·        Maintain open communication with immediate supervisor, senior managers, vendors, subordinates, and coworkers

    ·        Participate in company events

    ·        Support the vision and mission of VisionCorps

    ·        Represent the agency by developing contacts through NIB/NAEPB, networking and community presentations

    ·        Performs additional duties as assigned by the President/CEO

    Education and Work Experience:
    ·        BS Degree in Accounting

    ·        CPA, CMA, or MBA Preferred

    ·        Nonprofit Sector Experience Preferred

    ·        Five or more years in a financial management role

    ·        Advanced Excel

    ·        Dynamics GP, preferred

    ·        Knowledge of GAAP and Retirement Plan auditing standards preferred

     

    Working Conditions:

    ·        Office Environment

    ·        Regional, occasional travel to facilities
